Is there luggage storage facility at Heathrow Aiport ?

I need to leave 2 large suitcases at Heathrow for 8 days. Is there such service either inside Terminal 1 or 4 that I can use?

There are left luggage facilities at all terminals, charging £5.50 per case per day. Security checks mean you have to allow extra time both depositing and collecting the bags.

They're very precise about their definition of "day". Deposit at 0600 day 1 and collect at 0602 day 2 and it'll cost you two days. Allow a bit of extra time also for other customers shell-shocked by the bills they've run up.

the charge is regardless of size, so if you have a huge parachute type zip bag you can put a couple carry-ons into that and be charged for only one bag.

They do have weight limits on bags though - and they'll refuse anything that won't fit through the X-Ray machine

Thank you for the info. Since I found out how much it costs to travel by National Express from Heathrow to Bath (one-way) per person, my husband & I may end up renting a car and leave the suitcases in the trunk (boot)and hope that no one will break into it.

I think you have the wrong info re the cost of getting to Bath. Look in on your other thread - the info is posted there. (don't have a clue where you got the £50 figure)

janisj: my mistake. It was for 2 seniors. I had posted another question to PatrickLondon. But I forgot to ask if I need an advanced reservation. May be you can answer this. I do need a rental car for 2 days to drive around the Cotswolds. I plan to use Bath as a base for 4 days before I visit London for another 4 days. Do you know of any car rental place in Bath at a reasonable price? Thanks for the help. BTW please ignor the previous reply. I just hit "Post" instead "Preview"!
