Luggage lockers in Colmar, France?
My friend and I will be leaving Strasbourg, stopping in Colmar for the day and then continuing on to Zurich. Does anyone know if there are luggage lockers in the Colmar train station and if not, is there an alternative to lugging our luggage around town all day?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Very few French stations have left luggage services. Stasbourg apparently has a manual left luggage office open from 0745 to 2045, but there is nothing listed for Colmar.

The restriction is imposed by the police, so there will be no other service available in the town.
Britain is the only other country with a similar paranoia about left luggage, but in Britain, there is sometimes an alternative - a bus station, tourist office, café or taxi office. In France, the rule is imposed by the police so nobody is allowed to look after luggage. You can always try asking a hotel.

The Grand Hotel Bristol opposite the train station has storage facilities but I don't know if you can leave yours since you are not exactly a client.

If you enter into Google the three words
Colmar consignes bagages
you get several hotels that offer that service.
The next station on the line, Mulhouse, has the service - don't know of or how that can be of use to you. (Source: http://tinyurl.com/6mruld)

Hi, Chasing Travel~
Just to follow up, I emailed the Colmar Tourism Office, as I was curious about the same question.
They confirmed that there's no luggage storage at the train station, nor the tourist office.
They had no where else to suggest except keeping it at the hotel, which of course, doesn't help much if one doesn't have a hotel!

You don't have to be a hotel guest for a bellhop to take care of your bags. Most will accept a few Euros (show the money when you approach them so they don't think you want something for nothing...) and do it. That goes the world over, I'm speaking from experience here.
As I stated earlier, just see for yourself:
