I have a long layover at CDG and I'm only bringing carry-on luggage. I'd like to be able to check my bags for a few hours so I can walkabout easily and/or leave the airport. Does anyone know if you can do this? Thank you.

Curious, to my knowledge, they have removed all lockers from CDG as well as most other airports due to terrorist attacks. There have been several threads on this in the past. You could do a search on lockers and you should find them.

Art, that's what I was afraid of. I figured that might be the case. Anyone else have any suggestions in case I want to leave the airport and not bring my bag?

There is a Sheraton hotel at (actually in) the airport; you might be able to leave the bag with the concierge.

There is another hotel in Terminal 1.
I think it's called "Cocoon". You can
get day rooms there, for about $20.

The rooms are very tiny, but do have a
shower and bathroom.

I used this a year and a half ago, during a long layover at CDG.
JW, that's excellent advice. I will check that out. A shower & nap might be just the thing. Would you have felt safe to leave your bag (with clothes - not important papers) in the room while you weren't there?

I know that nearly every train station I have been has a luggage storage facility, if you take the Metro to say, Gard de Lyon or one of the other terminals you can lock your luggage there. Great to know about the Cocoon hotel... I am storing that bit away for future reference.

I was considering going into Paris for a few hours. Thyra also has a good suggestion. Has anyone stored luggage at Gare du Nord? At least this gives me two good options so I can see how I feel when I step off the plane.

Just double checking: there is luggage storage at Gare du Nord? I'm sure there must be, just checking as I pulled up this old thread.

Yes, Gare du Nord has a left-luggage office.
