I am visiting Amseterdam in May and need to get from Amsterdam to Italy ? Any suggestons would be great . A nice inexpensive flight would be ideal.

Two options to find "budget" flights:

www.whichbudget.com and pick the appropriate cities

www.skyscanner.net to find all the airlines which serve the two points. On the latter sometimes ou'll find matching "budget level" fares if you book far enough ahead.

I will be visiting Venice . So far I have only been able to find flights that fly into Trevisio

Meta - Treviso airport has a shuttle bus service direct to Venice in under an hour.

Otherwise KLM flies to Venice.

I took the overnight train from Amsterdam to Venice Italy. Changed trains to the night train in Frankfurt Germany. I was in a room with 2 other women. We each had a bunk. I bought my ticket right at the airports train counter. It left at 3pm and got to Venice noon the next day. I think it cost about 180 euros in 2003.
