Lugano to Bellagio Question

I think I have this right but want to be sure.

We are thinking of taking the bus from Lugano to Menaggio on 18 May.
Looking at this bus schedule (page 5) it appears that there a bus leaving Lugano 8:30 am and also 9:30 am. I cannot make out what is at the top of the columns - Fer6 for the 8:30 train and Gior for the 9:30 train. Any ideas? Can't find anything on the page 1 to help. Don't know if it will impact decision on which bus to take.

http://www.asfautolinee.it/Portals/5...modificato.pdf

As for the ferry, the schedule seems to show several ferries that would work. Thinking the 10:10 ferry if we take 8:30 bus OR 11:14 ferry if we take the 9:30 bus.

From what I have found reading old posts here and on TA; the bus and ferry aren't that far apart - is that correct?

Thanks!

Fer6 (Feriale 6) means week days including Saturdays

Gior (Giornaliero) means every day

Fest (Festivo) means Sundays and Public Holidays

Scol (Scolastico) means during school term times

Fer6: daily except Sundays and (Italian) holidays
Fest: Sundays and holidays
Scol: during school periods (bus accessible to everybody)
Gior: daily
Fer5: daily except Saturday, Sunday and (Italian) holidays.

The bus timetable is valid until June 6th 2015.
The ferry timetable is valid until May 30th

I suppose you know that the Menaggio bound buses leave from Lugano CASSARATE.

If you leave the bus at the right stop, you will be very close to the boat's pier.

If you leave the bus at the right stop, you will be very close to the boat's pier.

Still needing help with this -- which stop is the RIGHT stop? I have searched Google Maps, TA and cannot get a definitive answer.

The boat dock is at the G.H. Menaggio---about 2 blocks south of the main piazza in town.

Just ask the driver to tell you where to alight for the ferry.
Dov'e la fermata per lo traghetto should work.

Do as Jean told you. In any case you will have to leave the bus when it arrives at the Lake shore (Hotel Bellavista, Piazza Mazzini) and to walk southwards along the Via IV Novembre up to Piazza Traghetto.
It would be a nonsense to travel up to Piazza Roma. Istituto Vanoni is not a regular stop of buses coming from Lugano.

Or didn't you realize that by far not all stops on request are mentioned in the printed timetable? If they would do so, it would get much too big/long.

I did not realize that all stops were not included in the C12 timetable. I have never taken a bus that runs between 2 countries before; thereby assuming the stops listed were the only ones.

Again, I appreciate the help.
