Lucky me
Hi all,
I'm putting together a visit to Europe for May/June 2007.
We are flying into MUC and out of STR. The only nonstops from ATL are on Delta.
Starting last June, I've been following ticket prices.
For May, 2006 the lowest price I found was $850.
For May, 2007 it has been running at $885.
This morning I booked my tickets for $775.

I just got round trip tickets: SFO to CDG non-stop on Air France for 765.00 for November. I am tickled. First of all there is almost NO non-stop out of SFO and that's what I wanted and I saw fare of about 830.00 a couple of months ago. I didn't book and then when I looked a couple of weeks ago the fares were up to almost 1400.00!!!! I was thinking....so there goes my trip. So, kept checking and I booked day before yesterday for 765.00 on Air France. by the way, I checked directly with the airlines. I only used the consolidators to find out all the airlines that went from SFO to CDG. So, Ira, I'm tickeled pink for you AND "moi".

Ira: Now that's what I call shopping! Good for you!
By comparison, I paid $703 for Continental JAX-CDG in November, but with one stop. Didn't want to drive to ATL, which is five hours from where I live. Kind of a trade off, five hours drive or three hour layover.
Hope your trip will be one of your happiest travel experiences!
