LTU
I recently moved and can now change airlines because of local direct connections to Dusseldorf and Munich. I'm very interested in hearing some reviews on LTU. I've heard seating is tight but since to me it's mostly as transportation I was interested in safety, quality, check-in, check-out, if its know for being on time or not. Thanks in advance.

Not that bad at all from my experience. Never had a problem, plus they're offering those 100€ last minute roundtrip flights Munich to Cancun again this spring. Did this twice in 2005, great airline overall.

Expect many tourists rather than business people flying LTU. Otherwise, everything is normal: seating, service, reliability etc.
They charge 5 Euros for a small bottle of champagne, but then you get Veuve Cliquot.
They are in business now for more than 40 years. Second biggest airline in Germany.
