Round-trip flights to Paris in July

Looking to fly from NYC area into Paris on July 2 and leave from Paris on the 26th. The best nonstop flight I can find is on Continental for $1050, and most other major airlines seems to be at $1150 and up. Is there any chance cheaper tickets might become available, or is $1050 a good deal at this point.

I know Air India has nonstop flights for $850...Can anyone vouch for their service?

Thanks!

This sounds a bit expensive from NYC to me. A week ago, I purchased non-stop tickets from DFW for less than $750 at the end of May..and DFW is usually at least $200 more per ticket than NYC. Since I purchased those tickets a week ago, prices from DFW have nearly doubled for the same flight dates. I don't know if there was an unannounced sale the week that I purchased mine, but personally, I would wait and search every week until the price goes down...hoping that there would be another fare sale sometime between now and then. Of course, we are talking about a couple of months difference in flight dates, but this still sounds high-priced to me from NYC.

I have flown on Air India (to India via Europe) several times; their service was no better and no worse than most (non-Asian) airlines in economy. What exactly about the service do you want to know?

I used itasoftware.com to check prices for the entire month of July. Air India's $831 was the lowest for the entire period.

The same fares appeared on the consolidator site onetravel.com

Hi did you look into flying from Toronto. Check Zoom or Air Transat or Air Canada.

This is the flight that I booked. I searched multiple companies. Some I found the flight cheaper, however fees and taxed more than made up for the difference! I did find one really good fare at Iberia.com. That's a spanish flight and you'll stop at Spain first. It was about 1800-1900 for two people round trip with taxes/fees. However my mother and stepfather (he travels to germany all the time for work) advised me not to use them as they loose luggage frequently. I figured I'd rather have the peace of mind for a little extra. Good luck, hope this helped. Also my trip is for June 24th, 2007 until July 6th.
