breakfast there is 22eur(i believe)
can any one suggest other breakfast places nearby...i would think alot being close to the bourse district

yes, it is free the first Sunday of a month. Sorry, I don't know breakfast places in that area, but think you shouldn't have any problem beating that rate.

Stayed at the Ambassador about two years ago...our breakfast was included. Things may have changed or it's because we booked with a package..it was through United Airlines..the breakfast was great for free..don't think it's worth 22 eur however. There are a lot of cafes in the area, a small creperie, and a block over on blvd des Italians there are more cafes. We went to the Louvre on the free Sunday..long line but they finally split it so it wasn't too long..I'd guess it took us about 20 minutes..I was thinking it would be hours!!! Now this was entering through the Pyramid. I know there is an entrance below where the shopping center is, but someone with more expertise than I will have to tell you if that entrance is available on Sunday. Perhaps if you got there earlier than we did the line would be shorter..we didn't get there till oh probably 11:00 I'm guessing. Have a great trip.

My favorite entrance to the Louvre is from the Metro which brings you into the shopping arcade area..

I agree with Scarlett, it's the
Louvre-Palais Royal metro stop.

If you go to www.pagesjaune.fr and do a search on Boulangeries Paul, you will find many locations of these--good for breakfast, and I'm almost certain there's one location near the Bourse.

If they're really charging 22 euro for breakfast, I hope they're serving truffle omelets at least!

If you'd be content with baked goods, there's a nice bakery about 250 feet south of the Hotel Louvre Richelieu down Richelieu St, just where it seems to branch into a fork, on the way to the Louvre. Pain chocolate, buerre croissant, gougere, etc. Yum!! Filled ME up, I'll say that.

Last year Louvre was also 50% after 3 pm daily i think and it is open quite a time after that.
