I live in the U.S. and found some beautiful art work from a local artist in verdun france I believe by the name alain matschek but I cannot find any information on any of her art other then there is a gallery of hers in verdun and they do watercolors. The art work I have is signed and dates back to 1973 and is pastel work. Can anyone help me find more information on this artis, what value they may have and if you know her pass along this forum message to them. I would love the opportunity to talk with them and see other works... thanks joe

From what I know, the artist died some time ago. Most of the works are from the late 40's.

Just type the name in Google and you will get a variety of information. No indication that the artist died.

I have tried google but I cannot find any of her of her work or info on her hence why I have gone to this extreme to get information on this artist. There is still an address listed for them in verdun france but no email address and I don't speak a lick of french to understand most of the web sites out there... so if anyone one knows any more info or an email to the gallery in verdun please let me know

Surely Alain is male? He is listed on Yelp with an address and phone number. No email, or website.

I see a visit to Verdun in your future .
