Looking for ideas where to go in June. We're on the hunt for big waves to see!
For a grad present, I'd like to travel somewhere with my son. He loves big waves. We can travel in early June... does anyone have any suggestions on where we might be able to find big waves in June anywhere in the world and we'll narrow down the choices. I'd like our lodging to be convenient to the surf... he doesn't surf himself but we think it'd be a fun thing to watch. He loves the surf, but I'd imagine we'd have to stay out of it if we do indeed find a place with as-big-waves as we are hoping to find! Thanks!

I'm not so sure Eloise,
Here in Portugal you can see surfing at many beaches, Costa da Caparica and Guincho being 2:

Also in Costa there are many surf schools which offer daily tuition and board hire should he wish to learn.
Sure no monster waves but good beaches and good times...

Waves are available on the Atlantic Seaboard. In Scotland- Lewis and Tiree are the hotspots. I believe Ireland boasts similarly.
The Loire Atlantique and Pyrenees Atlantique bits of France are ggod and I imagine west coast Spaina nd Portugal too.
The Med is too calm
