D-Day Beaches at Normandie in June?
I planned a trip to Paris, the Loire Valley and Normandie putting us on the D-Day beaches on June 7 and 8. I haven't made any reservations because I'm hoping for a decrease in air fares (Air France confirmed that they will probably have a spring/summer promotion but they don't know when). I just learned that June 6 is the anniversary of D-Day. Will there be crowds at the D-Day beaches at the time I plan to be there? Would you recommend that I delay my trip a week to avoid any crowds? By delaying, will I run into more people in Paris and the Loire taking their summer vacations? Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about Parisians taking summer vacations in June, if that's what you mean, to make Normandie more crowded in mid-June if you wait a week. That wouldn't be important.
They always have special ceremonies and events that day, regardless of whether it is a super-special anniversary. The most events are on June 6th, but there are others a few days before and after, also.

I would highly recommend that you consider a one day tour of the landing beaches etc with the company named "Battlebus". It is a British company and they are experts on all things D Day. I would not recommend any French tour company for this purpose.
