We went to a small restaurant called "Mario's" in Rome twice last week. Its near the forum and across the street from the open air opera. Waiter spoke fairly good english; more than happy to help. food was great - don't assume what is on the menu will be available...ask him what's good for tonight. They order for the next day at 11pm the night before. Do the seafood spaghetti with "special cooking" -- it was great!!
