Cashel House Hotel in Connemara is wonderful. It's more of a small inn than a hotel. Food's tremendous, too.

I've heard very good things about the Bushmills Inn near the Bushmills Distillery in Northern Ireland.

Just want to speak up for staying on a farm, too. My mom and I did a fly-drive through CIE two years ago, and the farm we stayed at outside of Cashel was her favorite of all (including a quite nice hotel in Dublin). CIE provided us with a guidebook with choices that I poured over for weeks before leaving. Sandy
