RMC, Thanks for the note about Town and Country. I will try to locate one. I got my information from Travel + Leisure, March 2001 and AX Departures, Jan/Feb 2001. I think these may be accessible on the web. I hope this isn't just publicity hype with no substance! Kay

We did the exact same trip last year. We stayed in Villa Gallicia and also at Le Prieure. We both loved Villa Galicia. We stayed in one of their seperate cottage style rooms. It was fantastic. I would have to say Le Prieure was not as good. I think it gets a lower rating from Relais and Chateau. I have freinds that stayed in Le Mirande and raved about it. Le Mirande is very centrally located in Avignon. We rented a car for the trip, and drove along the Coast from Cannes to St. Tropez and then up through Provence. It is so easy. (We had huge reservations about driving but I'm so glad we did). When you go to Provence, I would reccomed a side day trip to Cassis. This was definitely the highlight of our trip. You can take an amazing boat ride through the cliffs (Calanques) and then drive up to the top of the cliffs and get an awesome view of the Turquoise sea below. My pictures were truly spectaacular. Have Fun !!!
