long term car rental France
I will be staying a month in Loire valley, and plan on renting a car at CDG on arrival.
Any advice for long term rentals? Is the kemwell peugot program a fair deal?
Also, my husband will be with me first week, doesn't drive stick. Thinking of renting automatic a week, then exchanging it.
Thanks.

I have done the Kemwel lease program..it was cheaper than rental plus obvious perks.
I would be comparing with the CDW for a rental and for an automatic transmission.
The lease car is 100% insurance covered..no gas fill up before returning...#'s to call for help..VIP service all the way around.
I have even leased it for the minimum 17 days and returned it a couple days earlier for my trip..it was also cheaper....
I would definitely do it...
Enjoy...........

From my upcoming trip report in France:
We had reserved the smallest car available from Kemwel, which was a Renault Twingo or equivalent. We got the equivalent--a Hyundai i10 diesel, standard shift--for a cost of $780 + $52 airport pickup for 31 days--the maximum allowable for credit card CDW coverage. The trunk is small and could barely hold our standard travel luggage.
I do not believe that the lease option will allow a car that small, and my recollection is that the lowest price was around $1200. On the other hand, others have reported that if you are renting an automatic, the price between the two types of rentals evens out.

If it is not a one-way rental, you might find another company that is cheaper than Kemwel or Autoreurope. That's what we did one year.
Here's a possibility:

Try this site. We've leased through them many times. I see Nantes listed.
