great article to me - thanks.

And also probably the world's most expensive rail ride for folks paying the walkup flat fare of 4 quid a ride - even steeper fare than Jungfraujoch railway!

BTW, if you'd like to know which station pairs are faster to walk between, that information is here: http://ni.chol.as/media/geoff-files/...ps/walkmap.gif

Maybe London math is different from California math, but how is a 5 min. tube ride "50 per cent longer" than a 4 min. walk? (Not the main point of the story, I know, but I just like to cause trouble).

Now, I want to ride on that leg. Whenever they write articles like this one, it just makes weirdos like me want to do it.

Jolie, I thought the same thing about the math! That stuff bugs me.

>>Who's Johnny Vaughn?<<

The clue's in the article. A media presenter who had a great success with a TV breakfast show but somehow got to be too much and too emphatically like his public persona. And now he has a radio breakfast show. He has his fans, no doubt.

There's something about the sign 'Stairs only for emergancy use' that seems to attract people to them like moths to a flame! And yes, I regretted it!
