London trip

We are planning a 6 day trip (our first) to the UK that will include London and Liverpool (Beatle fans). Arrive dec 30 depart jan 5.) Suggested areas/accomodations to stay, restaurants or other place to wait for the New Year would be appreciated. Any particular tour (Beatle or otherwise) would be welcomed also.
Thank you.

Tony, may I suggest you start by putting some key words in the space allowed for searching here on the European site. The following should bring up good posts:
Where to stay in London
Shows to see in London
Beatles Tour
Favorite restaurants in London
What's open over Christmas
What's open on Boxing Day

Then you can come back with more specific questions. We're all happy to help and you'll LOVE London!

I believe Original London Walks (<b>www.walks.com</b has a Beatles walk.

You might want to write ahead for tickets to the Ceremony of the Keys at the Tower of London - very cool, especially in Winter when it gets dark early. Ticket info: <b>www.hrp.org.uk/webcode/content.asp?ID=622</b>

In London, Original London Walks has 2 very good Beatles walks (have someone take a picture of you crossing the crosswalk at Abbey Road).

I reccommend walks.com for any guided tour while in London. Last week we took their Soho Pub Walk, Excursion to Salisbury and Stonehenge, and Jack the Ripper Walk. Each walk was reasonably priced, informative and entertaining.
