London question

One of my online guides reads: Hampton Court, we rate this as one of the best attractions in Europe. Yet I have found very little on it. For anyone who has visited it, can you tell me if it's worth it. I only have 2 days and have decided to skip Buckingham Palace and visit Hampton Court instead. Are there any other tourist attractions within walking distance from here? Thanks

I thought Hampton Court was great. But if you only have 2 days in London there are so many things in London proper to see. It's about an hours train ride from Waterloo and will take most of a day to see it all.

Was just there 10 days ago. It's a 1/2 hour from Waterloo but I agree with Grassshopper that if you only have 2 days for London I personally would save HPC for another trip. It is thoroughly enjoyable, though.

Don't know of any other tourist attractions really nearby to it.

Kew Gardens is fairly close and very definitely worth a visit, as is Hampton Court - far more interesting than Buckingham Palace. You could definitely do both in one longish day. Have you been to London before?

The problem with Hampton Court is that it takes a lot of your available time just getting to & from it

On a 2 day trip that's one day gone

Hampton Court is definitely NOT on the 2 day list - there are at least a dozen of things higher up. And I would definitely do Buck Palace if you're there when it's open to the public - since it's such a small part of the year - and who knows when you'll be back. (I've been to London at least a dozen times and have never been there at the right time.)

Just got back from Europe. This was my 3rd time to London and finally got to see Hampton Court Palace. It's amazing but it does take a while to get there and back. Also, it's huge and will take a few hours to see. With 2 days only ??
