London/Paris travel packages
Where can I find the best deals for travel to London and Paris? I have 7-8 days that I can travel in August from NY/NJ area. I want to hit both cities if possible. What's the best sites or how should I arrange the travel? Or should I try other cities. We went to Rome, Florence and Naples last year.

You might try some of the airlines. I did a two week, one week London, one week Paris a couple of years ago through United. I think I saw something on Expedia last week or so, great price for a week London and Paris which would fit your time frame. As far as I'm concerned you can't beat London and Paris...well, Venice is pretty special..hmmm and then...Good luck.

You may want to look into a company that books packages. I checked Gotoday.com and Europeasap for you, for the week of Aug. 12= 6 nights hotel (3 London, 3 Paris), both include R/T air from Newark, Eurostar train from London to Paris, 6 nights hotel, and all taxes and fees. The prices were:
Gotoday.com= $1294/per person based on 2 people in the same room.
Europeasap.com= $1069/per person based on 2 ppl in the same room.
This is for the lowest category hotel room, you can upgrade etc. You can also add extra nights with or without hotel, and switching your dep/arrival dates from weekends to weekdays lowers the price some also. This seems like a good deal, considering I priced a EWR-LHR / CDG-EWR open jaw ticket at $866 per ticket. I have personally used Gotoday for a London/Belgium package and was very impressed with how smoothly the trip went. The hotels (lowest category) were nice, and fairly central. I have heard good things about Europeasap, but haven't used them. Good luck!

I was checking out The Capital Hotel in London this morning for a trip we plan in Sept. They have a summer special (think it goes thru August) that has 2 nites there with breakfast, private car transfer to Waterloo station, Chunnel train to Paris, private car transfer to/ and two nites at the Pont Royal in Paris. Additional nites are extra... it's a little pricey (but less than normal for these fine hotels)
