london is hot today..what abt in sept?

i was looking over my travel agents list of things to kno abt london. maybe this list was not updated recently because it said that since my trip is in early/mid sept, i should bring one moderately heavy jacket and maybe 1 tshirt. definitly no shorts. should i reconsider my clothing choice or will it cool down by then???

It wil probably be raining, and could be cold... although sometimes we have a warm September month. I would bring a good selection of clothes - shorts and T-shirts, but also some long trousers and a light jacket.

Do remember, this is the UK...the world's 4th largest economy... we do have shops which sell anything you'd want as well!

Cheers, Phil.

Hi,

There is absolutely no way to know what the weather will be like.

I suggest that for this year you bring more Summer clothes than you normally would, but also at least one pair of trouser and one sweater.

Don't forget your umbrella.

This year has been so unusual, we can only guess what September will bring. You'd be better-off just waiting and checking the forecast just before you leave.

And have the other clothing at the ready..that way you can throw it in at the last minute.
Yes, they certainly sell wonderful clothing in GB and they also have that wonderful VAT to go with them.

Ah, but the clothes are very warm. In Autumn and Spring anyway. VAT stands for "value added togs".

Where do you come from Intrepid? Just interested. Although I can think of a lot of good things about the UK, we have just returned from a 3 week holiday in Montana, which we enjoyed very much.
