I agree with Back2Sabi: I like staying around Victoria Station. As a matter of fact, I will be going to a meeting in Kent, but before that will spend 3 days in London and have already booked a hotel around Victoria Station, for the same reasons given by Back2Sabi. Nothing fancy, mind you, but good enough considering the high costs of lodging in London.
