London: Heathrow to the city
We are flying into Heathrow and will be staying in Central London (Mayfair district). As we will probably have 5 bags between the 2 of us, we are opting out of the train/tube route as we don't want to be lugging around all those bags for very long especially after a long transatlantic flight.
I found 2 companies that run shuttle vans from the airport to town as part of a shared ride with no more than 3 other people. The 2 companies are Hotelink shuttles and London Airport Hopper. If you have used either of these or can suggest some others, I would love your input. Thanks!

hotel link is similar to supershuttle in the States - great if you are staying at the first stop and a pain if your hotel is the last stop.
A car service won't cost much/any more than a shuttle - like justairports.com - for door to door service for just the two of you.
(My question is - 5 suitcases for 2 people??)

both times I was by myself so the shuttle was the most cost effective option. A car service was much more than the cost of the shuttle.
Yes it is a shared ride.
But when you have mutiple people in a party traveling together, a car service becomes more attractive.
