Okay just a quick question about a Desset I noticed on a menu, while in London last week. What is "Spotted Dick and Custard?"

It is some sort of suet based sponge cake I think. I was going to try some but then I read that it was made with suet and that just sounded gross. The spots I believe are made of currants or sultanas (raisins). The custard part is probably just what it sounds. Bon appetit!!
