When DH and I went to Racamadour in the mid 80s there was hardly any crowd, even in July. Can’t remember so many shops either...

We stayed in Sarlat...here (link below with lots of photos) is one day where we visited Gouffre de Padirac (photo below), Rocamadour plus four beautiful villages (Loubressac, Autoire, Carennac and Collonges-la-Rouge

when I took the punt through Padirac the punter was puffing away on a cigarette - as mentioned above and then to see such a delicate envirnment defiled like that - sacrilege. No doubt times have changed and smoking i Verboten.
