St. Giles Hotel

I booked my hotel in London through Priceline and received a room in the St. Giles Hotel. Has anyone stayed there who would tell me about their experience? Are the rooms comfortable? Is the service Ok? Any information would be helpful.

I stayed there once. I don't usually need any service (except breakfast), so I cannot comment that. But the single room was really really tiny. Otherwise OK, and the hotel is in a good place next to a metro station.

I stayed there 3 years ago and it was fine. The room was very modern with Ikea furniture, nice bath. It is a very BIG hotel in a great location. If I were to get a good deal again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there.

Stayed couple of years ago. As someone said, found room to be small. In my case, the room was alos lower down and overlooking street, so noise was a problem at times. Pub downstairs was OK, best part of this hotel is location (Tube nearby, easy walk to British Museum, etc..)

Stayed there too several years ago. Our room was small but we're never there so
for us that's not an issue. Great location
for us. Since you got it through Priceline I'd be curious to see the difference in the rate you got and if you booked directly with them. If you haven't seen their website it's
www.stgileslondon.com. Enjoy your trip.

I believe I read that they have fitness facilities! That could be a real bonus.

Is the St. Giles in Priceline's Mayfair/Soho area?

For Melissa now:

I just stayed there 2 weeks ago. I got it on a British Air promotion package. It was just fine as far as I'm concerned.

I stayed with a friend in a standard 2 bed room. Not big but everything was fine. The location can't be beat and it's the kind of place that just has nothing wrong with it, without having anything particularly memorable.

Great to have a hot breakfast included.Across the street from a Boots and an Internet cafe that stayed open late. Very near British Museum AND (a reason for my choice) very near my favorite restaurant, Malabar Junction.

Easy 10 minute wlak to Oxford Circus & my favorite store, Topshop. Tube station about 1/2 minute walk. Etc.

Don't worry - be happy!!!
