Urgent: did anyone stay in Montana Hotel?

Please advise if Montana Hotel in London is a decent place to stay? I'm looking for a Triple room for the family of 3 adults. I'm concerned about the size of the room/beds. Do they provide a "real" breakfast too? I would appreciate if you could mention a couple more places where 3 adults will be comfortable for 4 nights (Location counts too!). Thank you so much for your help.

Hi - I didn't stay at the Montana (saw it and it looked nice) but a friend did and said it was a nice, clean accomodation. Great location - its right across the street from the tube station, close to Albert and Victoria Museum, Science Museum, a grocery store, post office and Harrods. We stayed at the Adelphi Grange (couple of blocks down the road). Nice hotel, small rooms, but clean and pleasant. Most hotels include continental breakfast with the room but offer full English breakfast if you want.

I stayed there. It was a good budget hotel, based upon location. Our two single bed room was small, but I've never had a huge room in London. The location was perfect. Breakfast was coffee, juice and toast.

I take that back, there was one huge room we stayed in near Paddington. I think it was the Dolphin. I wouldn't stay there again as the beds were very narrow, the bathroom small and the shower overflowed, and the location wasn't nearly as good as Montana. But it did provide a full English breakfast, complete with beans.

I'm considering staying at the Montana next March so I'm reading all the posts. I'm looking for a single room and there is a huge difference in price between ensuite and shared bath (like almost $500 over a 10 night stay!!!). So what I'm looking for is information on the shared bath single rooms. Did any of you have them? One site I went to said the bath is shared by two rooms, but the hotels own website doesn't say. Anyone know? Anything else you can add about the hotel? Thanks.

There are two Montana hotels in London, I think. So which location did you mean?

I stayed at Montana Hotel, near Gloucester Rd tube last year. As Grasshopper said, it a good budget hotel with clean, comfortable rooms which are not that small. Can't remember the breakfast exactly, but it did not consist of bacon and eggs etc. maybe cereal and toast and tea. In my opinion it gets the big thumbs up for location being so close to the tube, on many convenient bus routes, including the hop on hop bus route and in a very nice area.
