Lisbon hotel question: I have a choice of three which are offering rooms which suit my group's needs.

Location wise, Terreiro do Paço can't be beaten.

We LOVED the Avenida Palace. Their breakfast buffet is the best we've seen, served in a gorgeous dining room.

cmcfong, I'm jealous! That breakfast buffet is unbeatable, for one thing.

An example of the customer service we received at the Avenida Palace: we arrived at 10a.m. from the States, fully prepared to sit and wait for our room.

However, they had our room ready for us! We were so exhausted, and thankful to be able to unwind and refresh in our room overlooking the square.

I hope they will do the same for us. I am delighted to hear we have made a sound choice.
