Lisbon Airport Hotel

Does anyone have suggestions for a hotel near the airport for our last night in Lisbon? Our intent is to drop off luggage at the hotel, return the rental car to the airport, and use public transporation to enjoy what remains of the day. Someplace that provides a shuttle to the airport would be preferable. Thank you.

Hello:

I wouldn't worry about a hotel near the airport, as the airport is pretty close to the city center. We did exactly what you're planning to do and and stayed in the Bairro Alto without problem. Cabs are no more than 8 Euros to/from the airport from the Baixa or the Bairro Alto. Enjoy Lisbon. It's a great city.

We usually stay at the Radison...it is two miles from the airport, we drop off the car, take a bus or taxi to the hotel, then cab or jitney to the airport next morning...no strain at all.

I agree with CC. The airport in Lisboa is very close to Baixa, the center of old city. I think the ride is something like 15 minutes. You really don't need to stay at an airport hotel to save time.

Like all the other suggestions, simply choose the Hotel you prefer without worrying about the distance to/from the airport! Lisbon airport is really a downtown one!

When returning the car, do not forget to follow the arrivals signs since the car-rental companies are located in that area of the airport (which corresponds to the lower level). Transportation from the airport to the city center is both easy and confortable either using the airport shuttle (Aerobus) or taxi and it takes between 10 and 15 minutes.
I hope you enjoy your stay in my city.

let me just advise you that the lisbona irport is right inside the city so you dont haev to stay on a airport hotel. Any hotel inside the city will be only minutes away from the airport, i do this all the time as I go tehre 5 times a year and I always stay in the center

I have found some sites that may help you, for hotels try:
www.hotelsportugal.com
for cars please check:
www.portugal-spain.com
www.drive-portugal.com
www.travelers-portugal.com
