Libertel in Paris

I made a reservation for 2 days in Libertel Quartier Latin for 90euros/night and for 1 night in Libertel Republique for 65euros/night.They have special prices during Summer.
I would like to know if Republique area is a nice nice, I am interested in nightlife, should I find bars, clubs there or should I move to Bastille and Marais?

I answered your other post asking about Republique before I saw this. I would spent all 3nights at Libertel Quarter Latin and avoid Republique. Moving for one night is a waste of time, which seems to be something you don't have a lot of in Paris.

Thanks for answering InvisibleTraveler, you are right I won't have much time to waste in Paris.
I have just been informed that Quartier Latin is rich in history and places to explore but as for nightlife the Right bank is much better.
The problem is that even if I know that Marais and Bastille have plenty of nightlife, I am not familiar with the "hot" addresses of these areas.
I don't know where in which rues I will look for a bar , for a nice restaurant etc.
can you help me?

Are you young-at-heart, open-minded and unoffended by any all forms of human expression? Because that is what you will find in the Marais, Oberkampf and Bastille areas, speaking of bars, art galleries and night life. You will be entertained, maybe amazed, and if you want to find some very unusual or way out people, this is where you should go. I suppose if you get drunk or lose control, you will be vulnerable as you would be anywhere in the world in such condition. As for history in the Latin Quarter, there is history in all Paris quarters. There is nightlife in the Latin Quarter. I still suggest using only 1 hotel for a 3 nite stay.

ackis, I also answered your other post. I can tell you where to look for bars, etc, if you don't want to just wander down rue Oberkampf.

www.timeout.com has a very good section on nightlife in their Paris section

www.novaplanet.com is a French web site which also has nightlife mentions. This sight is almost too techno to use, but you have to go to the "menu" and then click on "sortir" or "musique"

Those should be enough.

It is true the Right Bank seems to be the livliest nightlife place right now, although I probably wouldn't move for one night either. However, you know what you want, and if you travel lightly, it shouldn't be terrible. IN your case, if I had to consolidate, I might stay at the Republique all 3 nights if it's the same level of hotel.
