Les Baux, tomorrow journee du patrimoine?
We hadn't realized patrimoine is on now. It was a pleasant surprise in Arles, saved a bit of cash today, which is great considering €300 cost me $463 from a bank machine in Munich. Ouch, it wasn't nearly that expensive last year, but our $ is swan diving nicely....
Now that we're in St. Remy, we're considering how to save even more for tomorrow.
I was looking into the chateau at Les Baux and the carrieres de lumiere, but I can't find either on the list of freebies. Does anyone know if they're included?
Alternatively, we could do Palais de Papes or pont de Gard might be better because being Sunday, the shops in Avignon may be closed. Hope to get as much bang for my euro as possible.
Merci as always.

How did you get such a terrible exchange rate from a bank machine? was it not a machine owned by the bank but one owned by Travelex or another company? At current exchange rates, 300 Euro should have cost you about US$340. Even if you paid a 3% foreign exchange premium, which some banks do charge and a $5 per use fee, it should have been no more than $355 for the 300 Euro.
Please let us know what happened that you got such a terrible exchange rate.

I didn't see anything on les Baux either, thanks for confirming for me.
Actually Canadian, which explains the pitiful exchange, but on the bright side, I don't pay the $5 bank fee , and it was .03 cheaper today $463.77 as opposed to $463.80 for €300 yesterday. Waaaayyyy more expensive this year
