Euro exchange rate for ATM withdrawal?
Can somebody tell me what the ATM exchange rate is for Euros about now? Say.....how much did 100 EURO cost you in USD? I don't want the current interbank rate, I know how to look that up. I want to know the real cost.

But the interbank rate is the rate used by shared teller networks to make the exchange. Also, some banks put an additional surcharge on such withdrawals (Wells Fargo comes to mind as does Bank of America). So there is no straight forward answer. The basic rate remains the interbank rate (now over 91 cents) with an additional 1% surcharge by the shared teller network (cirrus or plus). Any additional fees may or may not be spelled out clearly.

To those who worry about the 2% rate some banks are now charging.... since cooks or any other currency exchange I have ever experienced charge 5 to 7%....so the ATM is still the best way to go. I have a Bof A advantage account and have never paid a fee in Italy to withdraw but the last time I was there was last July.
