Legend of the SEAS!

Ok, I guess I better post this again to get some real answers!

I can't find anthing about this ship - positive or negative. If you have sailed on her or know anything, please respond.

We are thinking about a New Year's Cruise on her, and need to make up our minds. (Hardest part about cruising!)

But I'm glad that I gave cause for some grins. Ya gotta laugh at everything you can! Sure better than watching CNN.

Two sources of info: go to the cruise section of this board and type in the name of the ship. More than 50 posts came up. Go to Google and type in the name of the ship. A zillion sites will be there for you to peruse.

Bon voyage.

There is a Cruise board tab. I would post this there. You could probably find tons of stuff there about Royal Caribbean or Legend of the Seas.

Yes, I just posted this on the wrong board. I immediately posted it again in the Cruise Section.

I wonder if senility affects the fingers first? I also posted one there (Cruise Section) under the beguiling message topping > LEGEND OF THE SEATS.
sigh, you can imagine what the response has been!

Unfortunately, very few people on THIS board will admit they've ever been on a cruise..on a ship or otherwise!

Intrepid, WHAT are you talking about??? Cruises are awesome forms of vacationing. My honeymoon was a Cruise to the Southern Caribbean and we had an absolute blast. Tons of people have posted in this forum about Greek isles cruises, etc... Where/why you got that idea?

Actually, I've been on several cruise ships, including the Legend of the Seas. I've also cruised in the United States Navy for over 30 years. Do I qualify as "one of the few?"

Anybody else out there on this board who have cruised?

We took one cruise in '97 (Western Caribbean) and decided while it was OK it was really not our thing and we preferred land based vacations.

Went on Legend on an Alaskan cruise. We had a cabin with a balcony. The cabin was spacious and well decorated. The service was excellent, food great, entertainment wonderful, kids club was well run and everything went smoothly. I preferreed it to a Celebrity cruise we did last year.

Used to "cruise" 16th Street in Denver every weekend (understand its a pedestrian area now).

Seriously, we have been on 8 cruises, but lost our taste for them when Carnival intervened and bought practically everything afloat. Also dislike the bigger is better mentality. We enjoyed cruising because we felt we were on a ship with about 600-700 passengers, not a floating, glitzy hotel, with a passenger list the size of a small town.

Used to love walking around the deck after dinner and just standing at the rail looking at the sea. Most now are totally enclosed and the only deck that goes completely around is the jogging track. Just my take.

It's not a snob thing, just personal preference.

Cruises are GREAT!! What's not to love?
Great food, lots to do, places to visit (in port), great service, no packing/unpacking, entertainment included, lots of meals to chose from,
swimming pools, exercise rooms, ocean air and FREE ROOM SERVICE!!

Cruises are fun but I do like land trips as well. I'm glad I have an open mind to lots of travel options!

As far as I know, there are few cases of SARS in Europe so I think it is safe. It is only a legend, not the truth of SARS in Europe.

cruisecritic.com has great bulletin boards for each cruise line (Legend of the Seas is Royal Caribbean). The posters are very nice, very gracious, and very helpful.
