Leaving in two weeks, no passport, option??

I am freaking out. I am leaving in two weeks. I had to renew my passport for a name change. I did not get it expedited. All they said they would do is send in a request to get it here. Do I have any other options? Are the applications for applying at Regional Centers for new passport people only? Can I start over and apply again? Please help. Thanks

You may want to try contacting your Congressman's office to get them to work on getting your passport to you.

Apply in person at closest passport office..be early. Check document and pictur requirements. You may also need to show tickets to prove need.

I am leaving June 19th., and my daughter's passport was still not here 2 weeks before our travel date. I applied in early March.

This is what worked for me. I called the passport office using the number online. You get a recording saying they can't take your call now due to high caller volume. I called over & over again for an hour an finally got a live person.

They will take your travel date, and if you are traveling within two weeks, they will do their best to expedite your passport.

I was skeptical, but they came through for me. And my passport is on its way (I've been tracking it). I got the tracking number by calling back a second time, 6 days after my first call.

If that fails, you will have to go to the nearest passport center and wait...that's all you can do.

Good luck.
