Leaving for France on Thursday!

My husband and I are leaving for France this Thursday- our first time and so excited.

Wanted to see if anyone had any last minute recommendations about anything and also want to say THANK YOU to everyone who helped me so much with my trip planning.

Your advice and recommendations have been invaluable. This was my first Fodors experience and I am truly grateful!

Thanks again! Kate

While in Nice, make sure you check out the "old town".But, beware of pickpockets. St. Paul de Vence is great, if you can fit it in. Take time to walk the Promenade d'Anglais along the Med. If you like mussels and frites, Nice is the place to get them! I fell in love with their Monoprix grocery chain! If you are flying back through CDG, be prepared for a "body check" and a thorough inspection of your hand luggage.

And eat socca with that rosé at Theresa Socca in the Cours Saleya. Plus have a pan bagnat sandwich (you'll never go back to plain old tuna again). And a salade niçoise, bien sûr!
