Le Montrachet hotel in Beaune

There are four of us travelling to France next year and we are thinking of spending 5 nights in the Beaune and Dijon area. One hotel seems really nice. Le Montrachet, has anyone stayed there and what was your experience. Thanks in advance for any info.

Le Montrachet is pleasant, but it's not in Beaune--if that matters.

No, it does not really matter that it is not in Beaune. Another place that I just found is called La Chouette, in the Puligny Beaune area. It really looks soo cute and what we are looking for. Has anyone stayed there or have any information on it. It has only 6 rooms so we have to make up our minds quickly. Thanks again

I'd considered Le Montrachet for a trip to the Beaune/ Dijon area, but a friend recommended Les Paulands , Aloxe-Corton, as she said the had the best food they had on their whole trip thru the region . They spoke with another diner , a wine buyer , who stays there every year and he recommended it highly. It is quite reasonable at 80€ per night. Half board is available . we really don't like to drive after dinner and lots of wine so prefer to stay where we can dine or at least walk to a restaurant.
