Le Chalet des Iles in the Bois de Boulogne

This restaurant has a unique locale; I'm wondering if anyone can comment on the food and overall experience?

I must add that years ago it did look like a chalet and the boat that brought you over only held four people.
I liked the old rustic look better

We went two years ago and it was lovely. The food is fine; the atmosphere perfect. It's quite magical. I would definitely recommend it.

We ate there in 2004 and it was absolutely divine...a French friend took us there. We had not heard of it so we had no preconceived notions about it...that made it even more special. Nancy's description of it being quite magical is spot on!

Two years ago, we were also taken there by a French friend. We had lunch in the garden, the food was good and it was just lovely. An unforgettable experience!

Glad to hear so many enjoyed it. Think we'll try it for lunch when we're in Paris next month. WIll report our experience when we get back.

We had lunch at this restaurant last year. I think it's worth going if the weather is fine. The view is beautiful, the food is OK, but rain would spoil much of the fun. We booked the day before, and I'm glad we did, otherwise we wouldn't have got a table on the upstairs terrace.
