Tony, <BR>I watched a criminal trial a few years ago..just went over to Old Bailey , asked what "was playing" and went in. It was very interesting. <BR> <BR>Also, there was an article a few weeks back in the NY TIMES Sunday travel section on Legal London. As I recall there was advice on how to see the various Courts of Law, times open, what can and cannot be seen.

Tony, <BR>We also sat in on a trial at Ole Bailey. Get there early in the morning. The bailiff will let you know which court has room. <BR>It is amazing to see the difference between the USA courts and the ones our system was suppose to be taken from. WE are so much more formal. The judge was asking the witness info. The police was being badgered by the lawyer and judge. It was a very good show.

hiya tony.. <BR>saw your message and thought about something else you might find interesting...you can sit in on a session at the house of commons..this can be done by writing to the american embassy in london..they will send special passes to you to sit in the strangers gallery.. i did this last october and enjoyed it very much.. <BR>if you go on a wednesday you can listen to the prime ministers question time. <BR> <BR>enjoy your trip to london!

Went to Old Bailey and just asked to go see court in session. Thought we would get a boring old crime BUT we saw a trial for a serial killer. He and a partner had killed Nannies. It was very interesting. The guy looked normal and harmless. Very spooky. He had been suspected years ago, I think the 80's in other murders but they couldn't get him. This time he had a partner who ratted him out. I definitely think Old Bailey should be on the to do list if just for the wigs etc.
