Laundry facilities, Amsterdam

Anyone know if there is coin operated laundry facilities in Belgium, Amsterdam and/or in Holland? Do you know what hours they are open? I need to know by July 7th, 02. thanks!

Just make sure you don't use the hotel laundry service, they charge $110 a bag in Italy.

I'm not sure this is very helpful, but Rick Steves (NO, not him!!) usually has information about where self service laundry facilities are in his books. We used one that he identified in Haarlem (but it was on the other side of the main square from the train station and, therefore, not convenient unless you were staying in Haarlem.

Most Amsterdam neighborhoods have some kind of coin-op laundry service. Ask your hotel for the nearest one, or check out the phone book when you get here. Good luck!

<BR>Lonely Planet's Europe on a Shoestring (best budget guide to Europe IMO) has a good map of Amsterdam with laundromats keyed and identified.
