Latest day I can purchase cheapest Eurostar seats?

I need a one-way ticket from Lon-Paris in mid-December and currently the lowest fare is $89 USD. I don't know my schedule exactly so I'd like to put off purchasing the ticket as much as possible -- how far in advance do I need to purchase to still get the lowest fare? I'd be traveling mid-week either morning or late afternoon so it's not a high travel day where I anticipate seats selling out quickly.

Up until the point they sell the last cheap ticket - ie there isn't a fixed cut off date.

But also check the cost of return tickets - you won't be penalised for not using the return portion.

There no longer seems to be 14-day cutoff for their lowest price tickets. Now their pricing policy seems to be purely demand driven. I.e., better availability if you're travelling off-peak. Mid-week is a good time to be travelling. Also see if you can get the same-day return.

Can I ask where you priced it for this price?

If you choose "United States" the first time you go to www.eurostar.com (clear your cookies) you can pull up this one-way rate in USD. When I tried to get the price in Euros by choosing the "Belgium" origin page, it had a really high one-way rate (in which case you buy a r/t ticket and toss the return).

The good thing is that you don't have to be in the US (or a US citizen) to get this US fare.

I always recommend checking the eurostar website under different countries to see what is available

I did a search for the dates we will be in London (March 29-April 5, 2007) and the lowest rate I found is $96 per person same day return. Should I wait to see if they offer anything else or should I go ahead and book this?

$96 each way per person?

That seems really high although I've only only taken Eurostar in the winter. R/t tickets London-Paris were $130 last December.

Did you try plugging in different dates (earlier and later) to see the range in tix prices? Eurostar doesn't seem like the type of service to change prices according to season but who knows.

Hopefully other people who have taken it during the same time can chime in.

$96 would be approximately £50. In my experience, it's as cheap as it gets for a round-trip fare.

Yes, if $96 is the roundtrip fare, go ahead and purchase if you know your plans won't change.

I thought the poster was saying it was $96 each way.
