Last night meal in London....

okay everyone, I am going to listen to the voices of reason here.....We wanted our last night in London to be spent having a really nice dinner and some last minute sites.

We were going to do one of the thames dinner cruises, but in reading my emails and lack of suggestions on that post, what I am hearing is that I would be better off finding a good restuarant and then doing a river ride at night by itself.

If this is the case, please give me some links to restuarant recommendations or some good-to great restuarants.

The dinner river cruise was going to cost about 63 pds apiece and we thought that was high (not drinks or wine included), so we are looking to spend considerably less, but in the range of 75-100 pds.

What restuarants would you recommend. One with a view would be great.

thanks

It is kind of sad that you have decided not to do something that you want to do simply because you cannot get validation here.

Hi erin,

For a proper British dinner near the pper end of your budget - Simpson's in the Strand.

If it's Sunday they have a dinner special.

Since you obviously wanted to be on the river - why not go to the OXO Tower? It is not the best place in London - but it is very good. And the view is breathtaking.

You could walk along the south bank, ride the London Eye and then walk to OXO Tower for a wonderful last night's meal and finish up in the cocktail lounge - the same views and a fabulous drinks menu. 3 pages just for the Champagne cocktails
