Last night in Portugal -Obidos or Lisboa?

Please help to decide where to spend the last night before our flight which leaves at noon. We will be staying the previous night in Obidos and I wanted to spend the second night there.
According to www.viamichelin.com it takes only a bit over an hour to get from Obidos to Lisbon, but I am concerned about traffic. How long can it really take on workday morning?
Will it be safer to move to Lisbon for our final night?
Thank you.

No reason to go into Lisbon for a noon departure. I would stay in either Obidos--which I love---or Sintra. You will have plenty of time.

Bob, thank you for your post. We will visit Sintra from Lisbon at the begining of our trip and will stay in Obidos for two nights at the end.

HI; This was my second choice, but we are using Marriott points for two rooms, for two nights. It's on the ocean, in Obidos, called Praia D'El Rey, a hotel/resort. Trip advisor rates it number one. www.praia-del-rey.com/ We leave on the 17th and will be at this hotel on the 24th and 25th of April. How about you? iris1745/dick

Hmm ! Obidos is not on the water--several miles inland. We like Estalagem do Convento in Obidos.

Hi Bob; The land area of Obidos is on the water and of course the Medieval town is not. The hotel you suggested, just outside the 'walls' is lovely. Our last time in Obidos we stayed inside the walls, but I forgot the name. Great old town. The hotel I suggested could have been construed as being in the old town. So that was confusing as it is 10 or 15 minutes from the Medieval town. Best iris1745/dick
