Last French Bear in France Dies?
BBC said carried a report recently that the last real Pyrenees bear in France had died, leaving none left except some bears that had been imported i guess from elsewhere

Big scandal, they have been reintroducing wolves and bears from Eastern Europe and the farmers aren't happy.

According to the Beeb the last native French bear was shot in 2004 and they've been importing them from Slovenia since. http://tinyurl.com/5eox4y


The Netherlands is due to reintroduce wolves into the Oostvaarderplassen sometime soon I believe

wolves in the Low Lands?

hard to believe. Too many sheep and cattle grazing around.
