Larespark Hotel Istanbul - info needed

Hello: My friends & I are leaving on Thursday for a trip that will include 4 nights in Istanbul, and we had booked a few months ago at the Larespark hotel. We e-mailed to confirm today and received confirmation back, but I just want to double-check that this hotel is still in business? Their website no longer connects to that hotel (rather it now connects to an Anatalya tourism site), and tripadvisor.com only has a few reviews, the most recent one of which is clearly for a different Larespark hotel (one in a resort area, not Taksim). I can't find another website for this hotel in Istanbul. I may be paranoid here but just want to see if anyone on the board has any info on this hotel - - - it is appreciated!

Thanks for any peace of mind you can provide...

I am in very preliminary stages of planning a trip to Turkey next spring. Please post when you return, and let us know how the hotel was -- if it is still there!

Thanks Murat - for some reason the link was not working on my home computer but it is working at the office, so I think (and hope!) we will be fine. I am very much looking forward to it!

Pittsburgher, I will definitely post feedback when I return. I was delinquent last year when we got back from Greece (never did post that trip report) but still try to at least give feedback on where we stayed...btw, I'm a semi-pittsburgher myself! LOVE that city.

We will be in Istabul Sept 2-9 and have reservations at the Larespark. I will post info on the hotel while we are there. According to the conference organizers (Dekon) it is a very nice hotel and definitely still in business.

We just returned - and the Larespark is alive & well! It is a nice, business-traveler type hotel in Taksim, just 2 short blocks to Taksim Square. It sits in an quieter (as compared to Taksim square), residential-type area where there are several similar hotels, and the streets adjacent have limited access to vehicular traffic for security purposes. Rooms have full bathrooms, excellent A/C, & complete amenities, staff is extremely friendly & helpful, and breakfast is a huge display of food! And while we did not use the pool/health club/spa, we did check it out and it is very nicely maintained & looks like it would be a lovely place to de-stress. Definitely felt this hotel was a good value for the price we paid. Thanks again for the advice on this board!

Did you like the Hotel Troya? The prices are certainly low.

We are at the larespark as I write this. I agree with all the comments above and would add a few. WiFi everywhere! The breakfast buffet is very extensive. The food at the Portofino restaurant is excellent, but the prices are consistent with its namesake city. The pool/spa are very nice, if also very proper. This is not the pool for a family with boisterous children. The controlled access means that walking in the area is easy, conversation and breathing are possible in the streetside cafes, and there is a relaxed atmosphere. Well worth the money.
