Lake Geneva Area - What to do 1 day

What is the best way to spend a lazy day in the Lake Geneva area? I enjoy museums or castles or hiking or whatever... just curious what "must see's or do's" there might be in that area.

Don't miss Chateaux de Chillon in Montreaux.

You can take a train, but I prefer the ferry around the lake. I also enjoyed Yvoire on the French side.

When will this trip happen? Walking around in Geneva can be very cold sometimes. Can you give us a clue when this will arrive?

Chateau de Chillon was my first thought, too. It's amazing. Go there by boat - the boats stop right next to the castle. Visit the castle and then walk back along the lake to Montreux.

If you are staying within Geneve, we enjoyed Patek Philippe museum--you can spend good 2hrs even if you're not into fine watches. Excellent exhibitions both in terms of aesthetic and technology/craftmanship behind their watches.
Otherwise I'd also vote for Ch de Chillon.
