I had lunch at La Centenaire a few years ago...impeccable but I have not much memory of the actual meal so that must be saying something! (I realize this is absolutely NO help to you..) We are going to try L"Esplanade in a few weeks.

Same experience at La Centenaire as ekscrunchy. Nice property, lovely dining room. As I recall the lunch was good, but I too don't remember the details - possibly because the owner planted herself at our table and 'pumped' us the entire time, about our lives and about the American owners of the nearby millhouse that we were renting.
She had known them for years and had never spoken one word of English to them, even at the times when their French faultered.
Boy were they surprised when we returned and told them that our entire conversation was in English.
