Utrecht - Kinderdijk is "a trip around the world" as we say in Dutch. Your fastest option then is to take the train to Rotterdam (45 minutes), take tram to Willemsplein to take the higsh speed ferry, etc.

Gouda - Kinderdijk, same thing, take train to Rotterdam, etc. (train takes 15 minutes to Rotterdam)

Rotterdam as a base seems the better option - sorry.
