Keukenhof Gardens

Are the greenhouses at Keukenhof open in January? The web page is not real clear on hours.

Their website states:

Unfortunately Keukenhof is closed at the moment. Our park holds an exhibition of spring-flowering bulbs. The name says it all: these bulbs bloom in spring. Keukenhof is therefore only open during this period.

The other months are intended for maintenance activities at the park, and obviously for planting the bulbs, so that we can present color and flowering splendor to you the following spring.

In 2010 we will be open from 18th of March until 16st of May, including all Sundays and public holidays. Keukenhof is open from 8.00 a.m. to 19.30 p.m. daily (ticket office closes at 18.00 p.m.).

Amazing in April! Last year I did a River Cruise with AMA Waterways and took waaay tooo many pictures there. Impossible not to do so! Plan and Do It!

Thanks for the replys. Our next trip to the Netherlands will have to be in warmer weather.

For anyone who goes, I suggest not making our mistake & taking a bus tour. After a long bus ride, we were given 2 hours to eat lunch, use the bathroom, look thru the shops, buy bulbs, AND see the gardens! That was 3 years ago & we swore we would return with a rental car or some other free-time way, but we still have not made it back - darn it!

Keukenhof Gardens are too beautiful to express. Even with so little time, we got a few gorgeous photos that I had enlarged on painter's canvas & mounted on painter's frames. Everyone thinks the photos are paintings - absolutely gorgeous!

You lucky ones who go in April/May, enjoy the eye candy!
