Kensal Green in London
Please forgive my ignorance, but I'm pretty unfamiliar with Greater London. Is Acton Town at all near Kensal Green (walking distance; I'm a good walker)? I'd like to visit Chiswick Auction house and Kensal Green cemetery in the same afternoon. I have been completely unable to find a map that covers these areas - the tube map shows them light years from each other, but of course the tube map in no way replicates the real City. Thanks for any help.

You need http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk
They estimate about an hour and half to walk, 50 minutes by public transport with several changes.
For a map, try www.streetmap.co.uk

Chiswick and Acton are a bloody long way to Kensall Green, with no easy route.
If you want to see an old victorian cemetary combined with Chiswick/Acton try Brompton Cemetary. It's at West Brompton tube and is easily reached from Chiswick and Acton.
