June or August ??
I'm going to Ireland for the first time with my mom and niece. We were planning on going in August, but I can get time off in June.
When is a better time to go?
We are mostly going to travel in Dublin and the southeast.
Thank you!

June! June has the longest days and not as many tourists...Summer is just getting started and everyone is ready to have a good time!! I love Ireland in June..though airfares go up in June. It is sometimes worth the extra for the longer days though.

Ditto to all of the above! We were in Paris one year at summer solstice time and it stays light till ~11:00 pm. Not sure if Ireland is the same but for sure it will be light till 10 which does wonders for your ability to stroll around and see things.
